If you can answer "YES!" to these questions, then consider RISE for summer 2008. RISE is jointly sponsored by two of the nation's leading public research institutions -- Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), located under an hour from New York City. We choose 20-25 outstanding undergraduates to participate in cutting edge research in the sciences, math, and engineering under the guidance of prominent faculty mentors. All the while, you earn a substantial stipend, live on campus in free housing, and are reimbursed for travel to our campus..

We especially encourage application from underrepresented minorities, students from economically/educationally disadvantaged or non-traditional backgrounds, those who are the first generation in their families to attend college, and those who attend colleges without research opportunities.
